SERC Family Days: Registration is Now Open

SERC Family Day Registration is Now Open!

We’re hosting two events this year on Saturday, May 18^th and Sunday, May 19^th (10 am-2 pm)

A front gate pass is required for your entire family to drive onsite, $5 per vehicle.

Events will be similar each day, but will include:

• Meeting Smithsonian researchers and learning  about their science in hands-on activities.
• Seining, crabbing, or visiting an oyster bar community.
• Taking a one hour boat ride on the Richard Lee, into the Rhode river, $5/person.
• Listening to music.
• Getting your face painted.
• Bring your own lunch or pre-order a lunch from Panera and have a picnic.
• Watch a K-9 search and rescue demonstration (Saturday only).
• Visit with friendly farm animals (Sunday only).
• Create an Earth friendly craft.
